Doctor Pedro Sangre and his four courageous privateer companions confront mysterious and evil forces that plague innocent people. Together, they grapple with uncanny forces and myths come to life, risking everything to preserve peace and set right what has gone wrong.
Most definitely but I think the kicker in this case is that your magic system is pretty well explained and it's not just handwavium and some muttered words. It makes sense and my brain likes that.
Ah yes. I love deep worldbuilding and that includes magic systems. So I like to dig in and treat it like a force of nature with a wide range of what it can, or can't do, and so on. I may not always show that off in my stories, but it is there.
That makes a lot of sense. It seems like deeper world building leads to better worlds, so you’re in good shape. I think readers can feel it when there is a reason, even if it’s not specifically addressed.
I love the any resemblance to ... section 🤣
Well it is coincidental! (Not to mention they DO argue with me just SO MUCH!) 🤣
I can wait. I think I can wait. Wait. Why am I waiting? You need to release this now!!! 🤯 Okay. I'm back to waiting.
It’s coming soon! I promise!
Looking forward to it! My new novella is likewise just edging out of port.
That sure move slow at first, don't they? At least until they get some wind in their sails. 😉
Yet, before long, we'll be setting and trimming topsails!
Agreed!
I always appreciate a witty disclaimer. Is this going to be a serial?
Oh, absolutely! I'm writing the chapters for Death Whispers now.
I'm not the world's biggest fantasy fan but your world building post have me intrigued. I'm looking forward to it all.
Well, I hope you enjoy! if it helps any, it'll be closer to 'Historical Fantasy'?
